Cotna Eco Retreat

Accommodation & Glamping life in the yurts

Our three yurts sit in orchards contained by ancient Cornish stone hedges, oak and hazel woodland and a willow-lined stream. From your yurt you’ll tune into birdsong, eat under the stars, wander through the woods and unwind close to nature, enjoying the simple life – with the luxury of glamping in a comfy bed with a kitchen & cooking equipment, dining table and a woodburner. Each yurt has its own compost toilet and hot shower outdoors with a sink, picnic table and firebowl.

Gilliflower Yurt is the most secluded for retreats and best suited for 1-3 people. From the door which overlooks our woods you can birdwatch and listen to the hooting of owls at night-time.

Tregonna King Yurt  is suitable for 2-4 people (5 on request) It is nestled in by our woodland, where you can listen to the hooting of owls at night-time and the chiff-chaffs and song thrushes in spring.

Fern Pippin is suitable for  2-4 adults (5 on request). It is next to the stream and ducks, convenient for the shower & washing up facilities, so ideal for families.

Ismay, our shepherd’s hut is nestled in a little garden by the stream. Sit by a campfire, watch the night sky and connect with the spirit of the land. With the double bed and extra bunk you’ll feel cosy as a pea in a pod. And you have your own kitchen shed and fire-bowl to cook on.

Cotna’s straw-bale barn is ideal for a unique stay in Cornwall, especially for those wanting something different from a traditional holiday cottage. The hand-crafted kitchen, woodburner, lime-washed walls and large deck overlooking the apple orchard provide a characterful and cosy break in the summer or winter.
